Recently as part of a maths focus on numbers and counting the staff and children in Yellow class worked together to create an interactive maths display based on some of our favourite number rhymes.

Initially adults supported the children's use of the props and activities. The children were then encouraged to access the provision independently, which they have done with great enthusiasm !

Opportunities for learning have included:

Becoming familiar with numerals 1-10

Sequencing numerals 1-10

Counting real objects in meaningful situations

Performing simple number operations (plus and minus one) in practical contexts
