Chelwood House for Families

(Registered charity number 1145048)

We were set up in 2010 to support early intervention work with children and families in our community, and gained charity status in December 2011.

Our vision

Our vision is to give young children in our community the best life chances possible. We help families support their children during the early years by providing a range of activities in our local community. We provide a safe, happy and positive place where children can come with their families to spend quality learning and fun time together.

What we fund

Chelwood House for Families works in partnership with Chelwood Nursery School to provide a range of activities and services for young children and their families in our community.

In the past, we have supported  a range of community activities including:

  • ‘Play with me’ baby and toddler groups,
  • ‘Activity Packs for Home’ lending service and Family Learning sessions,
  • (until recently) provided an After School Club,
  • Benefits Advice and Family Support services

Chelwood House for Families is seeking to raise funds to support these activities and to extend the range of services available to our local families.

If you are interested in supporting the trustees in raising funds, wish to make a donation or provide sponsorship, for this essential work please contact the trustees via email:
